Filing Fee Exception

Under certain circumstances the ECF system may charge an attorney for a filing fee that is not applicable or has been waived by the court. Because of the individual nature of these situations, CM/ECF automatically charges the fee and users must notify the court when a charge should be reversed. Upon completion of the ECF event, select Continue Filing from the credit card pop-up screen. Do not pay the outstanding fees. Upon receipt of your e-mail, the court will review the filing and notify you by return e-mail if the fee has been removed, or if the fee must be paid.

Transcripts

A written request must be filed with the court by the requesting party.  Before filing the request, the requesting party may contact the Courtroom Deputy (CRD) for additional details and to assure coordination of the request.  The request will be processed by the courtroom deputy who is responsible for transcripts for the presiding judge.

Credit Counseling Requirement

Notice to All Individuals Before You File!
Did you obtain credit counseling within the last 180 days from a credit counseling agency approved by the U.S. Trustee?

If not, and you do not meet the requirements for an extension or exemption, your case will be dismissed, and you will not receive a discharge of your debts. In some cases, you may not be allowed to file another case for 180 days, or your protection under the Bankruptcy Code's automatic stay from your creditors may be limited.
