However, seeking the advice of a qualified attorney is strongly recommended since bankruptcy has long-term financial and legal outcomes. Corporations and partnerships must have an attorney to file a bankruptcy case. Beware of bankruptcy petition preparers who do not comply with all legal requirements. Requirements
It is NOT possible to communicate in person or by phone with the Bankruptcy Judge. If you need to seek any relief from the Court, you must file a written motion specifying the relief you seek. The matter will then be set for hearing before the Judge.
