U.S. Trustee Zoom 341 Information

The U.S. Trustee Program is implementing virtual § 341 meetings of creditors in chapter 7, 12, and 13 cases in the Southern District of Indiana for meetings to be held on or after October 1, 2023.  More information, including instructions for joining a virtual meeting and the documents to be provided to the trustee in advance of meeting, is available from the U.S. Trustee Program; the list of trustee meeting IDs, passcodes, and dedicated phone numbers is included below.

 

Update Regarding the Court’s Continued Use of Zoom.Gov for Hearings

The expiration of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Declaration brought to an end the temporary expanded use of video and teleconferencing technologies authorized by the Judicial Conference of the United States (“Conference”).  The Conference did, however, approve a 120-day grace period, through September 21, 2023, during which courts may continue to permit remote audio access in civil and bankruptcy proceedings.  

Rescission of General Order 20-0002

In conjunction with the expiration of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Declaration, the Court shall rescind General Order 20-0002 (Temporary Waiver of Signature Requirement on Deb tor’s Documents) on May 11, 2023.  Debtors’ counsel are encouraged to review the Court’s ECF Administrative Policies and Procedures for specific instructions regarding the filing, signing, and verification of documents. 

Candidate Sought for Local Rules Committee

Additional Guidance in Advance of Return to In-Person Hearings

General Order 23-0001 (Resumption of In-Person Hearings), effective on March 1, 2023, provides in part that the party requesting the conversion of an in-person hearing to a Virtual Hearing “is required to provide the Telephone or Zoom information to interested parties not registered with the Court’s Electronic Case Filing System.”  This requirement does not necessitate the filing of a Certificate of Service by the requesting party (though counsel are welcome to file a Certificate of Service should they wish).  Telephone and Zoom i

On January 23, 2023, the Court issued General Order 23-0001 (Resumption of In-Person Hearings, effective March 1, 2023) and General Order 23-0002 (Presentation of Evidence During Virtual Hearings, effective immediately).  Counsel and parties with matters proceeding before the Court are strongly encouraged to review the details of both general orders in their entirety.
