The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts is issuing this notice to apprise the Judiciary contractor community of Judiciary-wide plans regarding contract actions that may be necessary if contract funding is affected by a lapse in appropriations, better known as a Federal Government Shutdown.

The judges of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana approved amendments to the Court’s Local Bankruptcy Rules, effective December 1, 2025, and the Chapter 13 Plan Form, effective January 1, 2026, as reflected in General Order 25-0003.
The Court has issued General Order 25-0002 (Service of Motions Related to Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 3002.1), setting forth objection notice and certificate of service requirements regarding certain of the new Official Forms that become effective on December 1, 2025. The Court will provide additional notice, no later than November 22, 2025, regarding the new CM/ECF events to be used due to the FRBP 3002.1 amendments.
The Court has issued General Order 25-0001 (Order Setting Maximum Fee for Chapter 13 Cases Under Local Rule B-2016-1(c)), which increases the “Presumed Reasonable Fee” for Chapter 13 debtors’ attorneys for cases filed on or after December 1, 2025 from $4,500 to $5,000.
