General Order 24-0001: Audio-Only Remote Public Access to Bankruptcy Proceedings
The Court has issued General Order 24-0001 (Audio-Only Remote Public Access to Bankruptcy Proceedings), which outlines the circumstances by which a Bankruptcy Judge may authorize live remote public audio access to a Bankruptcy Court proceeding.
Creditor Matrix
A creditor matrix is a listing of the name and address of each creditor in a bankruptcy case. It must be filed electronically pursuant to Indiana Southern Bankruptcy Court S.D.Ind. B-1007-1(b). A diskette or CD with the listings of creditors in a text file must be submitted for bankruptcy cases filed non-electronically (on paper).

A Motion to Avoid Lien that Impairs Exemption is filed by a debtor seeking to avoid a lien which is held by a creditor on property which the debtor is claiming as exempt property. The motion is governed by 11 U.S.C. § 522(f) and S.D.Ind. B-4003-2 and requires no filing fee.
Courthouse Restrictions & Courtroom Etiquette
Photo ID Requirement
All persons are required to show a valid U.S. government issued identification card (federal or state) before being allowed entry to federal courthouses in the Southern District of Indiana. At a minimum, the identification card must show the person’s photo, name, and date of birth.
Beverage Prohibition
All liquids and beverages are prohibited from being brought into any federal courthouse in the Southern District of Indiana.
Current Address Requirements
It is important that debtors maintain a current address and phone number with the Clerk's Office. A change of address should be filed with the Clerk by submitting a written statement giving both the old and new addresses along with the case number.
