Bankruptcy Pro Bono panel
General Information
Individuals considering filing a Chapter 7 petition or with a pending Chapter 7 case may be eligible for free or reduced cost services from a member of the Court’s Chapter 7 Pro Bono Panel, dependent on income. Those individuals may request a determination of eligibility for services by completing and submitting the request form .
The opportunity to confer with a member of the Court’s Pro Bono Chapter 13 Panel is only available to debtors in a pending Chapter 13 case by judicial referral or by the case trustee. Applications are only distributed by a Courtroom Deputy, the Administrative Attorney or a Pro Bono Coordinator following a referral.
Volunteer attorneys
Attorneys who are admitted to practice in the Southern District of Indiana are eligible to volunteer to serve on the Bankruptcy Pro Bono Panel. Volunteer registrations forms are available here. Attorneys who practice in the U.S. District Court and actively serve on the Bankruptcy Pro Bono Panel, will receive credit towards the U.S. District Court’s pro bono requirement.
