Tuesday, June 16, 2020

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana has issued General Order 20-0008, setting new policies in Chapter 13 cases resulting from the CARES Act.  Those policies concern notices of mortgage forbearance and requests to extend plan terms for up to seven years.  For specifics, read the General Order here.

In addition, the United States Trustee has advised that meetings of creditors will be telephonic, rather than in person, for cases filed through October 10, 2020. For further information, see the United States Trustee’s website here.
