Registration Process
Step 1 - Register for an account at www.pacer.gov. The PACER registration wizard may help you determine the type of account you need.
Step 2 - Then, complete the electronic filing registration for the bankruptcy court for the Southern District of Indiana. Select the appropriate registration form and submit with original signature to the Clerk’s Office.
Step 3 – The user registration group will review and process your request. You will receive an email notification when processing is complete. Processing time may take up to 24 hours.
Account Types
Attorney Filers:
- Active: Admitted to the Southern District of Indiana Bar; users have full filing rights.
- Federal Attorney: Represents a Federal Agency; users have full filing rights.
- Pro Hac Vice: NOT admitted to the Southern District of Indiana Bar; users have full filing rights but will be limited to cases (or associated cases) in which a Motion to Appear Pro Hac Vice has been filed.
- NOTE: Child Support Representatives will be registered under one of the options above. Filing fees are waived on a case-by-case basis when the proper paperwork is filed.
Non-Attorney Filers:
- Non-attorneys have limited filing rights (see available events).
- A company Tax ID number is required on the registration form for tracking purposes.
- o NOTE: If only wanting to file, amend, or withdraw proofs of claim, consider using our EPOC/EWOC program which does not require a login or password.
