The Bankruptcy Court seeks practitioner input on issues arising from the ruling of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Marshall v. Johnson and mortgage conduit payments made through the Chapter 13 trustee pursuant to Local Bankruptcy Rule B-3015(e).   If you represent debtors or mortgage creditors/servicers in Chapter 13 cases, or are a Chapter 13 trustee or their counsel, and are interested in assisting the Court’s efforts in reviewing its procedures, rules and model Chapter 13 plan as they relate to these issues, please send an email of interest to  Local_Rules_Comments@insb.uscourts.gov by Friday, January 3, 2025.  It is expected that the subcommittee will meet, as needed, until its recommendations to the Court are finalized, with its work intended to be completed by the end of June, 2025.
