Locating a menu option ("event") in ECF

1. Click Search on the menu bar:

2. Enter a key word from the title of your document into the search box and hit enter:

3. Any events (menu options) that contain the word you entered are displayed:

The bold type Bankruptcy Events -> Motions/Applications is showing in which menu the event displayed can be found. But while you are on this screen, there is no need to find that event in the menu - you can simply click on the highlighted event you want to use (in this case, Sell) and you will be taken straight into the filing of the document.

In this example, since there is an available event for a Motion to Sell, it would be incorrect to attempt to file using a generic event such as Motion for Authority.
