Block Scheduling Instructions

General Information

Effective June 1, 2005, moving parties will be responsible for scheduling most issues on the Court’s calendar for chapter 13 cases filed in the Indianapolis Division only.

When the pleadings specified in the BLOCK SCHEDULING EVENTS section are filed, the moving party will be directed to Block Scheduling where a hearing date and time are selected and a notice is generated. The notice will not be issued by the Court until all pleadings have been quality controlled. Any pleading which has been calendared through Block Scheduling and is determined to be deficient may result in the cancellation or rescheduling of the hearing.

NOTE: Please contact the court if there are no available hearing dates or an earlier date is necessary. Motions for Relief from Stay filed without a Waiver of Time Requirement will be set for hearing by the Court. A debtor’s Motion to Dismiss is scheduled for hearing only if the case was previously converted.

*AS OF JUNE 1, 2005, A SEPARATE OBJECTION NOTICE FOR MOTIONS FOR RELIEF FROM STAY AND/OR ABANDONMENT PREPARED BY THE MOVING PARTY CANNOT BE FILED IN CHAPTER 13 CASES IN THE INDIANAPOLIS DIVISION ONLY.
